Be the talk of the Thanksgiving dinner table with these adorable Chocolate Cream Cheese Turkey Truffles. They are shaped like cute little turkeys and taste incredibly delicious!
Are you ready for the cutest Thanksgiving Day dessert? These little Chocolate Cream Cheese Turkey Truffles will be the biggest hit for all of my cheesecake and chocolate lovers out there. Each one has the perfect balance of sweetness and bitterness, making them an absolutely delicious treat! Plus, look at them. They’re going to impress all of your family members and be the talk of the dinner table!
I used my favorite Airly crackers to make this recipe. I love this brand because 1) their crackers taste bomb and 2) they have an amazing mission to help address climate change. You can use their product locator here to find them at the store nearest to you.
We’ll also be using some other fun and cute elements to bring these little turkey truffles to life. Our turkeys need eyes, a nose, and feathers! To help make them, this recipe features fun googly eyes, M&Ms, and Salted Caramel Airly crackers. And I’ve linked all of these below in the “Ingredients” section of the blog post so you can grab them, too.
All that being said, this recipe is so fun to make on your own or involve your kids. This recipe will make 30, so there will be plenty of opportunities for your youngest family members to get in on the fun and make exciting Thanksgiving memories!
NOTE: Similar truffle recipes contain Oreos. This recipe does not use them.
Ingredients for Chocolate Cream Cheese Turkey Truffles
Chocolate Airly crackers – The Airly crackers are back! I first talked about these in my recipe for Mini Salted Caramel Cheesecakes and here I am using them again. They are absolutely delicious and the company has a great mission: to reverse climate change through food! You can learn more about them here. For these truffles, we will be using 2 cups of their chocolate crackers crushed up in the food processor.
Cream cheese – I used reduced-fat cream cheese to keep the calories in these truffles down. We will be using 8 ounces, which is your standard-sized block.
Swerve – I used ¼ cup of Swerve confectioner’s sugar to help sweeten these truffles. I like Swerve as a no-calorie sweetener. If you have a preferred no-calorie sweetener, you can use that. Be aware that any substitutions will change the nutrition information provided at the end of this post.
Melting chocolate – We will need 5 ounces of melted milk chocolate. I like to use melting wafers, but you could melt chocolate chips or chunks of a chocolate bar. Whatever works best for you.
Salted Caramel Airly crackers – We will also use this flavor of Airly crackers to help give our turkey truffles some feathers! You’ll need 25 of them.
M&Ms – These will be our turkey’s nose! Grab 10 M&Ms and cut them each in half so you have 20 pieces.
Googly Eye sprinkles – Our turkey has to have eyes! These googly eye sprinkles are so cute. We’ll use 50 of them.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can I freeze these truffles?
Yes, they will stay good frozen for up to 1 month!
What is the best way to melt chocolate?
I recommend using chocolate melting wafers. These are specifically designed to be melted and make the process a lot easier. You can melt them in the microwave or on the stove top with a double boiler. It totally depends on what process you prefer. Just be sure to keep an eye on your chocolate and stir it so it doesn’t burn.
What happens if I burn my chocolate?
If you burn your chocolate, your chocolate will have “seized.” This means that it is no longer smooth and creamy but clumpy and difficult to mix. You can try to salvage it by adding a little bit of boiling water and mixing until smooth. However, it doesn’t always work. The best thing to do is make sure your chocolate does not overheat, burn, and seize in the first place.
Can you cut M&Ms?
Yes, you can! You just have to be very careful. I recommend using a large knife you have a lot of control over. Hold it very closely to the M&M and press down slowly but firmly so the M&M does not slide across the counter.
Are there Oreos in this recipe?
No, I did not use any Oreos. I know similar recipes do, but I didn’t.
Can I leave these truffles out?
No, I wouldn’t because of the cream cheese. They will spoil more quickly. Store in the fridge or freeze.
Are these truffles suitable for those with dietary restrictions?
These truffles are not gluten-free, dairy-free, or vegan. Consume at your own risk!
Is this a fun activity to do with kids?
It sure is! This recipe makes 30 truffles, so there are plenty of opportunities for the little ones to get involved!
