Chocolate Chip Banana Bars

The best chocolate chip banana bars! A healthy, chewy, and gooey bar filled with the sweetness of banana and topped with chocolate chips.

I wanted to try something a little different than my banana muffins this time. I have made my muffins with chocolate swirls, and Reese’s peanut butter cups, so I decided to change it up even more!

I have never really even had a banana bar before so I was not sure what to expect! Safe to say this recipe turned out great and I will be making this again! The next time you find yourself with extra ripened bananas give this recipe a try.

Here Is What You Will Need For These Chocolate Chip Banana Bars:

You can swap the chocolate chips for nuts on top! If you do not have the lower sugar alternatives you can use brown sugar and cane sugar but the nutrition will change.

Here Is How You Make The Bars!

  1. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Spray a 8×9 baking dish and line with parchment paper.
  3. In a KitchenAid mixer combine the banana, greek yogurt, liquid egg whites, sweetener, brown sugar, vanilla extract.
  4. Combine the dry ingredients in a separate bowl; flour, baking soda, baking powder.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients into the wet.
  6. Once it is all combined, add the water and stir ONLY until everything is combined.
  7. Do not overmix.
  8. Using a rubber spatula scrape the batter into the baking dish.
  9. Top with the chocolate chips.
  10. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean!
  11. Enjoy!
