Brown Sugar Apple Bake

Brown sugar, apple and oats, OH MY!! A yummy and healthy fall recipe recipe. You will love this brown sugar apple bake.

I wanted to make something fun for breakfast this week. I can’t even tell you for sure where this idea stemmed from I just know I wanted to used some apples that I had in the fridge! The sweetest combination of brown sugar, oats, and apples make up this healthy recipe!

A very “fall” recipe! I love sweet so I have this for breakfast but you can also have it as a treat at night:)

Heres what you need for the brown sugar apple bake:
  • Vanilla Protein Powder, I used PEscience
  • Honey
  • Old Fashioned Oats
  • Applesauce
  • An Apple (chopped)
  • Baking Powder
  • Cinnamon
  • Almond Milk
  • Liquid Egg whites
  • Splenda Brown Sugar Blend (this is store bought I do not make the blend myself, click the hyperlink to see.)

In the nicest fashion combine all of the wet ingredients first into a Kitchen Aid mixer; egg whites, applesauce, honey, and almond milk and sugar. Then add in the oats, cinnamon, protein powder, baking powder AND THEN fold in your chopped apple. Place in a greased 8×9 dish (lined with parchment paper) and top with more brown sugar!! Bake at 350 for 40 minutes! AND there ya go a yummy brown sugary apply healthy dessert recipe!!

You can store this in the fridge for a week or freeze it and save it for weeks to come!:) I pre slice mine and store it in a rectangle container and microwave it when I am ready to have it! You can even get crazy and for dessert warm up the bake and top it with some vanilla ice cream for an a la mode treat!!

Equipment

Ingredients
  

Wet

  • 10 grams honey
  • 90 grams liquid egg whites
  • 105 grams applesauce unsweetened
  • 100 mL unsweetened almond milk
  • 12 grams Splenda Brown Sugar Blend
  • 1 chopped Gala Apple any type of apple will work

Dry

  • 31 grams Pescience Vanilla Protein
  • 90 grams old fashioned oats
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp cinnamon

Topping

  • 12 grams Splenda Brown Sugar Blend

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 350 degrees and grease a square baking dish and line with parchment paper
  • Using a kitchen aid add all of the wet ingredients and combine EXCEPT the apple.
  • Chop up the apple into small squares
  • Once the wet ingredients are combined add in the dry ingredients and stir.
  • Once everything is mixed use a rubber spatula to fold in the apple.
  • Scrape the batter into the baking dish and top with more of the Splenda Brown Sugar
  • Bake for 40 minutes
  • Once it is done baking take it out of the oven and let it cool, then cut it in to 9 squares and enjoy!
