Bow Ties and Peas

Bow ties and peas! Bow tie pasta just tastes better! Combined with a light tomato sauce, sweet peas, and parmesan cheese, this recipe will be on repeat for your entire family!

Another meal prep coming at ya! This recipe is super easy and simple!

My mom has made this for me for as long as I can remember, it was my dad’s favorite and he requested I make some this week so here we are!

I am going to make some ground chicken to add in on the side of this for some protein but this is a vegetarian recipe on it’s own!

Here Is What You Need For The Bow Ties And Peas:
  • 1 8.5 oz can of small peas
  • 1 large 28 oz can of peeled whole tomatoes
  • 1 box of bow tie pasta
  • 1 small onion
  • 1 tbsp Parmesan cheese
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1 tbsp parsley
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp dried basil

Here Is How You Make The Bow Ties And Peas:
  1. Begin by dicing the onion and add to a sprayed pan and saute
  2. When the onion is cooked add the entire can of tomatoes (liquid too)
  3. Drain half of the liquid from the peas and add into the pan
  4. Add in the parmesan cheese, garlic, basil, bay leaves, and parsley
  5. Let simmer, cover, and on low for 30 minutes
  6. While this is cooking, cook the bow ties in a separate bowl!
  7. Combine and serve, this recipe makes 6!

This is such a simple recipe but it is so good and light but with the deliciousness and fun of bow tie pasta!
