I have yet to meet someone who does not like bagels. Let me tell you, worth all of the carbs! However, these easy everything bagels are the perfect low-calorie, high-protein, meal-prep bagel!
These bagels are so fluffy, and require no yeast or boiling like your typical bagel! You only need three main ingredients and you have yourself a delicious homemade bagel. They taste great toasted with cream cheese, butter, or peanut butter! Additionally, they also make an amazing breakfast sandwich.
The reason these bagels are so easy to make is that they require greek yogurt which is the leaving agent in this recipe! This also means more protein and fewer calories!
Ingredients for the easy everything bagels:
- 1 cup self-rising flour or unbleached all-purpose flour with 2 teaspoons baking powder and 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup non-fat Greek yogurt
- 3 tbsp liquid egg whites
- Toppings: Everything bagel seasoning
How do you make the bagels?
- Preheat oven to 375F. Line with cooking spray and parchment paper
- In a bowl combine the flour, baking powder salt, and whisk.
- Add the yogurt and mix with a fork until well combined.
- Lightly dust flour on a clean surface.
- Knead the dough for about 60 seconds or 15 turns (it will be a little sticky but should not stick to your hand)
- Divide into 4 equal balls and roll each ball into ropes. Join the ends to form bagels and use water to seal the ends together.
- Brush the bagels with the egg whites and sprinkle both sides with everything but the bagel seasoning.
- Bake for 25 minutes.
- Allow to cool, slice, and make a yummy breakfast sandwich, or top with cream cheese or peanut butter!!

hi! I’m a little confused do you use the baking powder and salt if both self rising flour and unbleached white flour or just unbleached flour. since they aren’t listed as separate ingredients like the yogurt, flour, and egg whites it makes me think if you don’t have self rising flour you use unbleached with the baking soda and salt added. I just wasn’t sure. thank you!
if you dont have self rising flour you can make your own with all-purpose flour, salt and baking powder!
