Another great part about this wonton bowl is you can add whatever you want. It is basically a stir fry featuring amazing little wontons. Feel free to make this recipe with your own spin and add your favorite vegetables! This is a great low carb recipe but when I need more carbs for the day you better believe I am adding rice.

A very important ingredient that you should not omit is the wontons! I get the Chicken Cilantro Mini Wontons from the freezer section of Trader Joe’s, but I know that Costco also sells Chicken Cilantro Wontons in larger portions. These little wontons are lifesavers. First of all they are dang cute, second of all they are super easy to make, and so yummy!

The Ingredients For My Wonton Bowl:
  • 4 Chicken Cilantro Mini Wontons
  • Organic Soy Sauce
  • Fresh chopped cabbage
  • Broccoli
  • Chopped bell pepper
  • Green onion (scallions), or white onion
  • Chopped zucchini
  • 1 whole egg
  • Liquid egg whites
  • Toasted cashews (optional)

Keep in mind that the measurements of the veggies can vary without altering the nutrition very much. See my measurements below but you do not have to exactly match these, this recipe is for a single serving.

Instructions For My Yummy Wonton Bowl:
  1. Begin by chopping all of your veggies
  2. Spray a large pan with cooking oil, add the broccoli and saute over medium heat for 5-8 minutes
  3. Now add the chopped zucchini, peppers, and onions and saute for 3-5 minutes
  4. Make a well in the center of the pan and add your egg and egg whites, cook all the way through
  5. Add the wontons and chopped cabbage and saute for 5 more minutes
  6. While this is cooking toast your cashews, I used a toaster oven, but a conventional oven works as well
  7. Transfer the goodies into a bowl, top with soy sauce and toasted cashews
  8. ENJOY!!!

This recipe is best fresh which is why I make it a single serving, but if you want to add on to the recipe to make it a family meal please do! Or if you decide to prep it be my guest!!
