Baked ziti has been a classic recipe for years, it is something my mom always made and always a staple at family parties! Filled with protein, ricotta cheese, and marinara sauce there is nothing not to love about this skinny baked ziti recipe!
Here Is What You Will Need For The Skinny Baked Ziti:
- Ziti noodles
- Marinara sauce ( I used a homemade marinara sauce from a local farm by me)
- Fat Free Mozzarella cheese
- 2% Mozzarella cheese
- 99% lean ground turkey
- Fat free ricotta cheese
- Parmesan Cheese
- Liquid egg whites
- Dried Oregano, dried basil, garlic powder, salt and pepper
Here Is How You Make The Skinny Baked Ziti:

- Preheat your oven to 350 degrees
- Cook 12 ounces of the pasta according to the boxed instructions; drain and set aside
- Cook the ground turkey until browned; drain any liquid and set aside
- While the turkey and the pasta are cooking combine the ricotta cheese, parmesan cheese, spices, and egg whites
- Add the ground turkey, marinara sauce and pasta in the cheese mixture, stir and combine
- Spray a 9×12 rectangle baking dish and evenly add the pasta mixture into the dish and cover with aluminum foil
- Bake for 20 minutes
- Divide and serve!
- This recipe yields 7 large servings!

- 430 ml Marinara sauce
- 50 grams Fat Free Mozzarella cheese
- 1/4 cup 2% Mozzarella cheese (28 grams)
- 1 package 99% lean ground turkey (468 grams)
- 1 container Fat free ricotta cheese (421 grams)
- 4 tbsp Parmesan Cheese (20 grams)
- 4 tbsp Liquid egg whites (60 grams)
- 1/2 tsp Dried Oregano, dried basil, garlic powder
- salt and pepper to taste
Instructions

When do you add the mozzarella cheese? Is it with the Parmesan and ricotta mixture? Or do you top the casserole with the mozzarella cheese?
