Chewy, sweet, and extra tasty granola bites! These bites are higher in protein than your average granola and the perfect yogurt topper!
If you are all about the CRUNCHY granola I am going to warn you now that this recipe may not be for you. This granola is chewy and not as crumbly as granola can be.
SO to best explain this, it is a mix between a chewy granola bar AND your average granola. One of my favorite things as kid.. and still today are the Quaker Chewy bars, the texture of these bites resemble these bars! Who else was addicted to these? They are just SO good. Well if you love these you are going to want to make this recipe ASAP!
Another plus is this granola is high in protein! Not to compare to chewy bars but you are getting a single measly gram of protein. WELP with this recipe, for 28 grams, so about 1/4 cup of granola, you get 5.5 grams of protein! As you know, more protein is always a plus in my eyes especially when it is in the form of something sweet :D!
The ingredients for this recipe are quite limited and chances are high that you will have everything in your pantry!
What You Will Need:
- Vanilla Protein powder
- Rolled Oats
- Maple Syrup
- Almond Butter (or any nut butter)This is the best almond butter EVER!!
- Mini Chocolate Chips (normal size will work too!)
To begin, preheat your oven to 350 degrees! And line a square baking dish with parchment paper.
Mix together all of the ingredients, except the chocolate chips, and combine WELL! You may have to use a fork or even your hands at some point. Press the mixture down into the baking dish. Bake for 5 minutes, cover and bake for 5 more minutes. Let the bars cool for a few minutes then press the chocolate chips into them and place the dish into the freezer. After an hour or so you can take them out and break them up into mini or big bites! Some sections may be more crumbly than others.
This recipe yields a good amount, enough to last you the week at least 🙂 I vary my serving size from 20-28 grams, but you can even do more!

It is super delicious and even has a slight hint of salt to it to balance out all of the sweetness.
The ways to enjoy these chewy granola bites are endless! Here are some of my favorite ways:
- plain… YEP it is good enough
- with milk
- on top of my yogurt
- on top of ice cream, protein fluff, or even my homemade frosty! (click to view my recipe)
- on top of my oatmeal
